What did I see? The warship
Straddles a mountain.

This day speaks to us in signs –
A leopard stuffed with owl plays cuckoo
Stretched out sleeping on its bough

Deserts bloom with orchard rows
While oceans leave their beds
To play with trees.

Now gather up your books & come
Bring your wig of cello hair
Your frosted nails –

My love – my soul –
You shiver like the fold between the worlds.
